La Stanza di Danza was founded in September 1998 in Piacenza with the clear initial intent to offer a "neutral space" for the study of Dance where it would be possible to train, grow, and bring energy, creativity, and freshness in a healthy and professionally technical manner.
Soon, the need to deepen, improve, and explore new realities in a collaborative and non-competitive way led to the establishment of a Sports Association affiliated with the Italian Dance Sports Federation, CONI, ADI,
and CSEN.
Today, over 25 years since its opening, La Stanza di Danza ASD is a place frequented by children, teenagers, adults, professional dancers, actors, internationally renowned teachers, and anyone who wishes to study dance
seriously and at the same time peacefully. It continues its collaborative journey with Professional Companies and Artists, the Municipality of Piacenza, and with entities and associations throughout the national territory.

We like to define La Stanza as a "proudly Amateur" School because, in the purest associative spirit, it is a place where a strong passion is shared, which each of us lives by respecting our own possibilities and those of others.

La Stanza di Danza and Gaga
The slogan that has always accompanied La Stanza in its growth is "Dance.
From another point of view," and with this in mind, after hosting for the first time in Piacenza during the 2023/24 season, 2 of the only 3 certified Italian Gaga Teachers, it was decided to organize a Festival entirely dedicated to Gaga.

Why Gaga?
Because it is a brilliant movement language.
Because it perfectly represents a "different point of view" on Dance.
Because the fact that Gaga/people classes are aimed at an audience of ordinary people and not just students and dancers makes Dance accessible, democratic, usable, and shareable by everyone. Amateur.
